We Sell Something the Wind Has to Finish
A wind chime is unusual.
It can be fully assembled, carefully designed, and ready to hang—but until the air moves, part of the product is still waiting.
That idea is at the center of Style Shelter LLC.
We are interested in objects that change with their surroundings.
Sound Without a Switch
A wind chime does not need:
- An app;
- A battery;
- A screen;
- A power button.
Sometimes it remains still.
Then the wind moves, and the object becomes audible.
A gentle breeze may create a few notes.
A stronger breeze may create a completely different rhythm.
More Than Decoration
A wind chime has to work in three ways at once.
It should look considered while still.
It should move naturally when the air changes.
And it should create a sound that belongs in the space around it.
That balance is what makes this category interesting to us.
Location Changes the Product
A balcony is different from an open yard.
A covered porch is different from a tree branch.
A brick wall reflects sound differently from open air.
The place where a customer hangs a wind chime becomes part of how the product sounds.

Wood can change the character of movement.

Transparent materials can shift with the sky behind them.
Tube length, suspension, striker position, sail shape, and overall weight all help influence the final experience.

A shelter is a place.
Style is what gives that place character.
To us, a wind chime belongs somewhere between those two ideas.
